Michael Binstock, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and received his Master of Medical Science from South University in Savannah, GA. He completed additional surgical and critical care training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine of Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, NY and Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Michael has over 17 years of experience in trauma critical care, vascular, oncological breast and general surgery. He provides both pre and post-operative care for patients in the office and hospital.
Making sure patients understand their diagnosis and plan of care pre- and post-surgery is important to Michael. Through his additional training, he is able to treat a variety of common issues that need surgical intervention including gallstones, appendicitis, diverticulitis, colon, hernias of the abdomen, disease of the breast, peripheral and arterial vascular disease of the upper and lower extremities. He is highly skilled in procedures such as ultrasound guided biopsies, removal of skin lesions and some lipomas, and treatment of wound infections that need debridement. Michael is published in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Annals of Surgery.
As a member of the Georgia Army National Guard, Michael completed the US Army Flight Surgeon Course and serves as a Flight Surgeon for the 1-171. He has also been deployed overseas and stateside in support of Operation Joint Guardian and COVID-19 medical readiness for the US Army and Georgia Army National Guard.
